Girls Soccer to take on Suffield in 2nd round

No. 17 Newington 2, No. 16 Newtown 1: Kayla LaRosa scored the decisive goal in the first overtime period as the Indians came back from a 1-0 first half deficit to defeat Newtown in the first round of the Class LL tournament. Kaila Lozada scored the equalizer in the second half, which wound up being the goal that forced overtime. Next up for Newington is No. 1 Suffield, a team which went 16-0 in the regular season.
